Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nagaokakyo-city, Kyoto Prefecture, Chairman of the Board and President: Tsuneo Murata, hereafter: “Murata Manufacturing”) has decided to execute a merger on April 1, 2020 in which its consolidated subsidiary Izumo Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereafter: “Izumo Murata Manufacturing”) will be the surviving company and Iwami Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereafter: “Iwami Murata Manufacturing”) will be the dissolving company.
Moreover, beginning on April 1, 2020, Iwami Murata Manufacturing will continue functioning as Izumo Murata Manufacturing’s Iwami Plant (Ohda) and Iwami Plant (Hane).
 

Izumo Murata Manufacturing, the surviving company, has been carrying out the production and development of ceramic capacitors since its founding in 1983. Iwami Murata Manufacturing, the dissolving company, since its founding in 1965 has been engaged in the production of capacitors with lead wires and filters, as well as the packaging and shipping of multilayer ceramic capacitors produced by Izumo Murata Manufacturing.
The absorption-type merger of Iwami Murata Manufacturing and Izumo Murata Manufacturing is intended to stimulate collaboration between personnel and make management and the production system more efficient through this streamlined integration, while further improving QCDS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service).
